About Pistol Day Parade
Rising from the tough economic times of the Detroit area Pistol Day Parade is regarded as one of the top unsigned rock acts in the country. Their debut EP, "She Wants More" recorded by Mike Brown (Velvet Revolver , Breaking Benjamin) and released in late 2009 has sold over 7500 physical copies and even thousands more digitally. "She Wants More" featured the demos of,"Rockstar's Girlfriend" which made its debut at 38 on BILLBOARD's Active Rock charts, and the follow-up demo single, "High" both receiving massive airplay in the Midwest. Supporting “She Wants More” the band headlined countless shows including multiple concerts at Detroit’s famous Fillmore theater , and opening slots for such acts as CREED, TESLA, CANDLEBOX, THEORY OF A DEADMAN, SAVING ABEL, TANTRIC, POP EVIL, SEVEN MARY THREE, TAPROOT, MUDVAYNE, SCOTT WEILAND and FINGER ELEVEN. In the closing months of 2010 the band continued to write and record demos that would become the band’s first full length album “A New Life”. Produced byTim Patalan (Sponge, Lovedrug) at The Loft Studios in Saleen Michigan. In early 2012 upon completing the album the band set out to prove that the success of the “she Wants More” deoms was no fluke. Debuting the record to a packed house of 2200 at the Fillmore Theater at The Detroit Tigers Opening Day festivities , the band played a set that ended with the entire merchandise table completely sold out of cd’s. With the help of many promoters in the Michigan area, the band has been a staple to the Michigan festival circuit and continues to reach new markets on a regular basis. Summer 2012 has found to be all networking for the band connecting them with producer Chuck Alkazian ( Pop Evil, Trust Company) suggesting a remix of the record to cater to radio. Upon delivering the mixes to WRIF the station immediately added the song “Better” to full rotation and the song has climbed the charts to the number one position as of early July 2012 and was also featured on Nikki Sixx’s (Motley Crue) nationally Syndicated radio show Sixx Sense .
